About Mane Event Wigs
Mane Event Wigs began when I discovered wig styling on set. I previously worked as a makeup artist in film and fashion and wound up with a Halloween wig that was supposed to give ‘Rockstar’. Instead of binning the wig, I used some spare time on set to experiment. There was a lot of hair gel, rhinestones and silver leaf before it became not just usable, but something I was proud of — and the director loved it!
After that, I dived into the world of wig styling and never looked back. I’m very grateful for the pivot and everything it has led to.
The Inspiration Behind the Wigs
I love taking inspiration from the details of Old Hollywood hair. Intricate finger waves, bouncy curls and structured updos offer such drama that I love to look to for ideas, then adapt to create more contemporary takes.
I especially love the addition of rhinestones and specialise in creating intricate, embellished wigs.
Our Approach to Wigs
I want the wearer to feel powerful and transformed. Our designs have a fantastical element, and each style is designed to evoke a personality or character for the wearer.
